Handgun Maintenance Guide: Tips for Safe and Smooth Shooting

The reliability of a handgun depends on proper maintenance after every shot and at regular intervals. Follow these steps to protect the mechanism of your Balıklı handgun and maintain its peak performance:

1. Field Stripping Before starting maintenance, ensure the firearm is unloaded and the magazine is removed. Disassemble your handgun into its main components (frame, slide, barrel, and recoil spring) as specified in the user manual.

2. Cleaning Carbon and Residue Use an appropriate brush to clean carbon buildup, especially in the chamber, extractor, and slide rails. Accumulation in these areas can lead to feeding or ejection issues.

3. Lubricating Critical Points Apply a very small amount of high-quality gun oil to metal-on-metal contact points, such as the slide rails and trigger assembly. Remember that excessive oil can attract dust and cause premature wear.

4. Magazine Maintenance Cleaning the inside of often-neglected magazines with a dry cloth directly improves spring tension and ammunition feeding.
